Development & Production Program: Control Board for High Speed Wire/Tubing Cutter
Client: The Eraser Company

Objective:
In order to remain competitive in the industry, The Eraser Company needed to update part of its wire cutting equipment line to state-of-the-art technology. This required the development of a microprocessor controlled automatic wire and tubing cutter that could automatically de-reel, feed, cut and count the material to the programmed length and number of pieces.

Solution:
DCI designed and developed a microprocessor control board that provided the needed upgrades to the existing control board and also increased the accuracy and repeatability of the wire and tubing cutting operation. DCI maintains strict quality control by handling the final test and shipping of the boards.

Results:
The state-of-the-art upgrade increased the attractiveness of Eraser’s wire cutting equipment and increased sales.
